Is it getting cold where you live? Here just east of the mountains in Colorado we’re enjoying a nice extended fall. But when we look west, the mountains are turning white and we know that the cold weather is not far away.
I have to confess that I’m a bit of a hibernator in the winter. Our winters are really pretty mild in contrast to the ones I grew up with in the Midwest but I still use the winter season as an excuse to bundle up in warm sweaters and other cozy hand knits.
To inspire cold weather knitting, November’s Yarn of the Month is Cascade Eco and Eco Plus. Eco knits at a heavy worsted, light bulky gauge and is perfect for warm sweaters, mittens and hats to keep the chill away on the cold days to come. All Eco and Eco Plus is 25% off in the month of November. At 478 yards per skein, this yarn is a tremendous value. Eco is undyed wool with all the beautiful natural colors of the sheep. Eco Plus is dyed in a rich color palette and you are sure to find the perfect color for your project.
Cascade offers free patterns on their site for Eco and Eco Plus. There are also some great projects on Ravelry – almost 9,000 to be exact!
I’d love to know what your favorite patterns are for this yarn. I’m having a tough time deciding!
Happy knitting!
