A sweater for a one armed woman

How did it get to be Friday already?  It’s really amazing how some weeks seem to speed by so quickly.  On Wednesday, I meant to post my progress on Vitamin D and here we are, already at the end of the week.  Anyhoo, here’s an update on my WIP, two days late.

I’ve been working on Vitamin D for just about a month now and it’s one of my all time favorite sweaters.  Really.  I love everything about it – the shape, the fit, the style…and then there’s the yarn.  Oh, the yarn.  Canopy Fingering is so incredible to work with.  I know I already blogged about my great love of this yarn but I can’t seem to help myself, it really is wonderful.  This is my first fingering weight sweater and I know it won’t be my last, it’s going to be so nice to wear, lightweight but very warm.   So, where am I on this project?  Pretty much the same place I was at the beginning of this hectic week – one more sleeve to go….  I don’t know why I can’t seem to just finish this up.  The weather has been so nice and I’ve been enjoying some of the last warm nights before the Fall weather comes.  That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.  I am determined to finish it up this weekend – very excited to see how it looks after blocking.

And a close up of the back details – my favorite part….so pretty!

There are also some new markdowns in the Specials section of the site – Dream in Color Knitosophy and It’s Native Lace, and Cascade 220 Superwash and Ultra Pima.  All lovely yarns but we need to make some room around here for new things coming in.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

You have given me inspiration to do a sweater. My early attempts in my teens were frustrating; they never fit and seemed to be a waste of yarn. My gauge is better now :) and a fingering weight yarn seems ideal, since I am my own furnace these days. will love seeing the finished sweater.
