It’s been crazy cold here in Colorado this week. I know we were lucky to miss the big snow storm that hit the Midwest but honestly, 20 below 0 wind chills is a little ridiculous. There may be a little bit of cabin fever happening around here. Good thing I have plenty of things to keep me busy.
There are lots of new products arriving. Here’s just a few of the boxes that showed up this week. We’re working hard around here to get these new goodies up on the site as soon as we can. I’m really excited about all the things we’re adding and I’m sure you’ll like them too.
Speaking of new things, I added several lines from Cascade last week that I’m really excited about.
220 Sport is a lighter weight version of the worsted weight Cascade 220. Even though they named it Sport, I think it’s closer to a DK weight. I’m already dreaming up new projects for this yarn and at $3.75 a skein, you could knit an adult sweater for under $40.
You asked for Cascade 220 Superwash and I was happy to add this as well. This yarn is perfect for so many projects that require machine washing. I’ll be adding more colors soon.
Ultra Pima is a beautiful DK weight cotton yarn that comes in a beautiful color palette. This yarn really shines and has beautiful stitch definition.
And then there’s Epiphany. 60% Royal Alpaca, 20% Cashmere and 20% Silk. This is a truly luxurious yarn that is incredibly soft with a gorgeous drape. The silk really adds a beautiful sheen. I can’t wait to start working with this yarn. I’ve had a skein sitting on my desk all week and I can’t stop touching it!
Speaking of luxurious yarns, for the entire month of February, we are going to be highlighting different types of non-wool fibers like Alpaca, Silk, Cotton, and even Yak. We’ll be talking about projects for these luscious yarns and how to best care for them. To celebrate these special yarns and introduce them to you, I’m offering them at 20% off in the month of February. Ultra Pima and Epiphany are included in this special promotion and there’s lot’s more to discover at Doodlebug this month!
I’ll be back on Friday to talk about one of my favorite luxury lines – Bijou Basin. Their line of Yak and Yak blends are truly special and I’m so excited to share them with you.
Until then, I hope you all stay warm and get to spend lots of time knitting.
