After the hottest August on record in Denver, Fall is making a sudden showing. This is a large Autumn Blaze Maple in my backyard. At it’s peak, it will be a vibrant red but you can already see a hint of what’s to come.
Today, my sandals were replaced with Dansko clogs, shorts for jeans and a long sleeve tee shirt was a must for walking the dogs this morning. Soup recipes are rolling around in my head and I’m thinking about making a cup of Ear Grey tea. And I’m definately thinking about sweaters! This little beauty jumped to the top of my Ravelry queue today.

It has everything I love in a sweater: Modern yet classic styling? Check. Clean, simple lines? Yep. Wear with pretty much everything in my wardrobe? You bet. Although I haven’t settled on a color, I’m going to use Cascade Eco Alpaca. It’s oh so soft with a wonderful drape in beautiful, natural colors.
In the interest of full disclosure, this one has been in my queue and I’ve been talking about knitting it forever. So, what was the hold up? Summer. I just couldn’t wrap my mind around knitting an alpaca sweater when it was 98 degrees. I’m ready to go now though!

Love that sweater! Can’t wait to hear what color you choose! They’re all so pretty.
