All this month, we’ve been bringing in “new to Doodlebug” yarns from Cascade Yarns. There’s a lot to love about Cascade. They always deliver really high quality at a price that won’t break the bank. I’ve talked about my love of 220 before, but I just brought in some new lines that are vying for my attention.
One of the newer yarns that I’m really crazy about is Eco Cloud. It’s a blend of 70% Merino Wool and 30% Baby Alpaca and is not dyed so the lovely, natural colors of the fleece really shines.
It has a really interesting construction. Instead of the yarn being plied, it’s woven, or braided. Garments made with this yarn will be very light but still warm. The natural colors range for the palest Cream to a deep Charcoal.
This yarn is also next to skin soft so it would work as well for cute children’s apparel as it does for sophisticated adult garments.
