It’s always exciting when we get new things for the shop around here. This week, we received 4 big boxes of Malabrigo. We’ve been waiting for quite a while for this to come in but we think it’s worth the wait! We have restocks and new to Doodlebug colors in Merino Worsted, Rios, Rasta, Silky Merino and Lace.
Our new favorite colorway on Merino Worsted is Malambo. We just love this color combination and think this would be perfect for a warm, super soft cowl. It would be a nice pop of color next to a black coat and would really brighten up a cold winter day.
A new, very popular color in Merino Worsted – Hiroshige:
We now have 24 colors of Rios in stock! Rios is a durable, super wash worsted weight that’s perfect for both adult and children’s garments. This is Primavera:
And one of my all time favorites, Pearl Ten. So excited to have this in Rios now:
And perfect for quick, chunky knits – Rasta. Rasta knits up very fast on large needles for projects that deliver instant gratification. So, if you aren’t quite done with your holiday knitting, you could whip up a few quick cowls, hats or scarves in a weekend. This is one of the most popular colors, Piedras:
Mmmmm, Silky Merino. This DK weight Merino/Silk blend has a wonderful drape and is perfect for scarves, shawls, sweaters or any project that calls for a lighter weight yarn with some sheen and drape. The most popular color at Doodlebug by far is Smoke. It’s a beautiful charcoal gray with subtle variegation.
We also added a few new colors of Lace. One of my knitting goals for 2012 is to knit a lace weight sweater for spring. I really love Garden Gate:
We’ll be adding more new Malabrigo over the next few weeks including the elusive Sock.
This weekend, I’ll be trying to finish up a couple of stealth projects for my sweet husband and also trying to wrap up a few last minute purchases for other family members. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend filled with crafting and fun!
