Madelinetosh Merino Light

This week’s yarn in the spotlight is Madelinetosh Merino Light. Tosh Merino Light is a 100% superwash merino wool, single-ply fingering weight yarn. with a generous 420 yards per skein. One skein is more than enough yardage to complete a pair of socks and two skeins can complete a full-sized lace project. Each incredibly soft skein is hand-dyed in small dye lots. And then there’s the colors.  Oh the colors!  Here’s one of my favorites, Filigree.  It’s one of those colors that’s really hard to describe.   It has gold, green and splashes of blue that make me think of a copper roof that’s starting to age. This yarn is so versatile.  I really love the idea of knitting a lightweight sweater to wear when the airconditioning gets to be too much.  Or maybe a little shawlette to wear on cool summer evenings? Here’s a link to a free pattern on Ravely.  It’s the Ginko Shoulderette Shawl by Maggie Magali.  Just the perfect thing for summer. This week you can win a free skein of TML just by following us on Twitter.  The winner will be announced on Friday morning.  And, for the remainder of May, all Madelinetosh yarns are 15% off to celebrate Mad May.  Just use the code Tosh15 at checkout.
