Malabrigo Sock!

We received a big shipment of Malabrigo Sock last week – hooray!  It’s been quite a while since we received a new shipment of this wonderful yarn and we are so excited to add new to Doodlebug colors and to restock our favorites.

Malabrigo Sock is a light fingering weight, 100% Superwash Merino Wool.  It’s great for socks (duh, it is named sock after all!) but also for lightweight sweaters, shawls. hats, cowls….really any lightweight garment or accessory.  It’s next to skin soft so it’s perfect for children’s garments too.  The colors range from subtle semi-solids to vibrant variegated colorways.

One of the most popular colors is Indiecita.  Something about it just says summer to me.  Since it’s snowing and very cold today, a little summery yarn is just the thing.  Malabrigo does a great feature on their blog called See it Knit where they feature a colorway and projects made from it.  You can see the story behind Indiecita here.

One of the most interesting colors is Turner.  I love the acidy greens and yellow with the blue.

But, if I had to pick my all time favorite color of Malabrigo Sock, it would be Playa.   It really does remind me of where the ocean meets the sand.

We now have 29 colors in stock to choose from.  What’s your favorite?
