Malabrigo Stockpile!

I have to take a quick break from Socktober because October is also Malabrigo Stockpile over on the Ravelry Junkies group!  Stockpile is a celebration of everything Malabrigo that involves cast on mania to encourage members to knit as many small projects as possible.  It’s a great time to start your holiday knitting and also make a few things for yourself.

I probably won’t have time to do more than one project for Stockpile this year but I did want to complete at least one.  I picked Give ‘Em the Slip Hat from Triona Murphy.   The “cables” are actually a slipped stitch pattern so no need for a cable needle!  I’m going to use Malabrigo Worsted , possibly in Pearl Ten or I may jazz it up a bit and use Sealing Wax.   This hat is so cute – it almost makes me wish for colder weather!

There’s also a really cute pair of mitts that match.  You can buy the pattern for the mitts and hat separately or together for a reduced price. I know I want to make both, and maybe some extras for gifts.

To get you started on Malabrigo Stockpile, all Malabrigo yarns are 20% off at Doodlebug through October 15.  Just use the code “stockpile” at checkout!

Do you have any plans for Stockpile?

I am basically going to combine Socktober and Stockpile. I’m going to make http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/summer-wind with Malabrigo Sock in Turner, which is in my stash and from Doodlebug!
