More hats and our first winner of November!

Good grief!  Is this time change thing messing anyone else up today?  I meant to get this post done and up hours ago and now the day is just about over.  I feel like I’ve been in a fog all day!  Anyhoo….

I loved reading your comments with your favorite hat patterns this week.  I feel very inspired by all the gorgeous patterns you posted!  I did manage to finish my  Give ‘Em the Slip hat over the weekend and love it.  It’s a great pattern – very easy to memorize and a lot of fun to knit.  And the finished hat is warm and snuggly, everything a hat should be.

The winner of the Malabrigo and Give  ’Em the Slip pattern picked by Random.org is Hissystitch.  Congrats and I’ll be emailing your shortly!

Don’t forget, a new contest starts on Wednesday.  In keeping with our November theme of small, quick to knit items, we’ll be talking about mittens, gloves and mitts.

I love the slouch ‘give em the slip’ hat on your site. I’ve never tried Malabrigo but my sister has and loves it.

My favorite is ETTA. What a beautiful way to use the stitch pattern!

I know everyone has done a “Turn-a-Square” but I finally got on the bandwagon and mastered the jogless stripe through this….it really is a great pattern with the square stripes on top. I’ve made 2 for my 2 oldest boys who loved picking their own colors. I’m going to make 4 more for the other 4 hatless kiddos.

I’ve never knitted with this type of yarn and my stash is woefully underrepresentented by worsted weight yarn. Since geniuses always pick green (and I’m such a genius) lettuce is great for me! grin.
