Welcome to Doodlebug Yarn. We’re glad you found us! We are located in beautiful Boulder County in Colorado and our passion is knitting.
My knitting story is not unusual. I learned to knit as a child and after several lopsided doll blankets made out of scratchy acrylic, I was on to other things. In 2002, a group of friends asked if I wanted to take a knitting class and I never looked back. That class led to many others and I have had at least one project on the needles for the last eight years.
I am inspired by the amazing work of all the talented young designers who keep knitting fresh and fun. My list of projects is already a mile long and I seem to add a new “must knit now” almost every day! With all the new yarns and colors coming out the possibilities are almost endless.
My goal is to bring you the most beautiful, luxurious yarns from around the world for your special knitting projects. I’m very excited about all the new organic yarns that are coming on to the market and I’ve also included a few basics that we all reach for over and over. I will be adding new yarn lines, accessories and patterns and I hope you’ll check back often to see what’s new.
My husband Doug is also involved in the business, helping out with photography, website support and he even attended the TNNA with me to help me pick out new yarns. Maybe one of these days I’ll be able to talk him into learning to knit!
